With a nomadic soul and a yearning for travel, It Was Moonglow founder Kimberly has always been inspired by the beauty of traveling, the feeling of restoration it brings, and the way a good trip inspires her to live the life of her dreams.

the journey

In 2017, Kimberly pursued her real estate license, soon becoming captivated by property acquisition and the beautiful homes she sold in the San Francisco Bay Area. In 2022, driven by her love for interior design and travel, she and her husband embarked on their first remodel. This experience solidified her passion for remodeling and design.

Following the remodel, Kimberly continued creating design-centric spaces to share with others. Her goal became to breathe new life into older properties through creative interior design inspired by worldly architecture. Drawing from places like Morocco, Spain, and the Mediterranean, she loves crafting intentional spaces where guests can escape the ordinary, stay inspired, and find themselves in a place of gratitude and reconnection.

Her passion for travel and interiors is strong, but nothing compares to her love for being a mother. Especially after becoming a mother, Kimberly found the importance of finding time for herself to reconnect and get reenergized creatively. The spaces she creates reflect this, providing a reinvigorating experience for guests looking for respite and inspiration. She is working hard to live her daydream every day while having the freedom to spend time with the people she loves most — her family.
